North Devon Council has announced that the district's largest food and drink festival, FOODfest, is making a much-anticipated return in 2024.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, 20 October, at the Barnstaple Pannier Market and will showcase a wide array of local food and drink exhibitors.
The council explained that FOODfest is dedicated to celebrating the local culinary scene, bringing together an impressive lineup of chefs, restaurateurs, and artisan producers. Attendees can look forward to sampling and purchasing an eclectic mix of cuisines, from traditional British fare to international street food, along with an extensive selection of craft beers, ciders, wines, and spirits.
Food and drink producers have been invited to apply for a trading spot at the festival by visiting North Devon Council's website.
The council said that: “This festival provides an excellent platform for vendors to present their products to a broad audience and build valuable connections within the industry.”
Place Manager at North Devon Council, Hannah Harrington said: “We are delighted to announce the return of FOODfest for its 15th edition. This event offers a fantastic opportunity for local food and drink businesses to showcase their finest offerings to the thousands of visitors. Our online application for prospective stallholders is now open and expected to fill up quickly, so we encourage early submissions!"
