Motorcyclist left with life-changing injuries following Ashford collision

Police have appealed for witnesses after a Sunday afternoon collision at Ashford near Barnstaple left a motorcyclist with life-changing injuries.

Officers were called at around 2.45pm on Sunday (March 17) to reports of a collision involving a Yamaha motorcycle and a Ford Transit van on the A361 at Ashford.

As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist, a 53-year-old local man, has received life-changing injuries.

The road was closed in both directions while the scene was examined by a specialist forensic collision investigator.
