Renowned Barnstaple fundraiser Jade Kingdom had an unforgettable experience at the weekend as she attended a live taping of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway on Saturday, February 24.

Jade, known for her remarkable fundraising efforts and athletic achievements, was initially under the impression she had secured tickets to be in the audience. However, she soon discovered that the night held much more in store for her.

The whole audience were invited for their heroic efforts and were each given a holiday as part of the Takeaway Getaway, courtesy of TUI.

"Not only was I in the audience, what I did not know was that I was actually there due to my fundraising," Jade recounted.

"Without my knowledge, everything had been arranged for Ant and Dec to surprise certain people in the audience, one of which I was lucky enough to be."

Unbeknownst to Jade, the event was orchestrated to honour individuals like her who have made significant contributions to their communities.

Ant and Dec surprised Jade, highlighting her inspiring triathlons and fundraising work, which have raised more than £30,000 for North Devon Hospice.

Commenting on her reaction to the surprise, Jade exclaimed: "An unbelievable night that I will NEVER forget."

As the show progressed, the surprises continued. The entire audience, carefully selected for their remarkable contributions, was informed that they had all won a holiday.

To Jade's astonishment, Simon Cowell personally commended her efforts and wished her well on her holiday, adding an extra touch of star-studded appreciation to the evening.

“Thank you to everyone involved in surprising me last night," Jade said gratefully.

"Thanks to all my supporters who supported my events and fundraising for North Devon Hospice."

Jade, a Guinness World Record holder for being the first woman with Down's Syndrome to complete a sprint-distance event, will now be able to choose from more than 40 destinations with TUI for a holiday of a lifetime, ensuring her well-deserved break is one to remember.
