Young Bideford boxers competing in Wales

Bideford Boxing Club travelled to Port Talbot for their annual dinner show with Coby Allcorn and Pete Fitzgerald.

Coby Allcorn picked up his first win against Blaine Hyland from Heads Of Valleys ABC. Allcorn dominated the first two rounds on the front foot with lots of combinations. In the last round, Allcorn added the long-range power shots in forcing two standing counts before the ref waved the fight off, awarding Allcorn the technical knockout.

Pete Fitzgerald won every round against Travis Jones from Tylorstown, boxing and moving with superb skill. Fitzgerald proved elusive on the back foot, showing great distance with his footwork and head movement to continually hit and not get hit.

The young boxers received great support all night, with Welsh Super Featherweight Champion Conor McIntosh and Bideford’s unbeaten Light Heavyweight Aaron Bird both in attendance to pass on their knowledge and experience.
