A collection of North Devon Council bins
As the August Bank Holiday approaches, North Devon Council is issuing a reminder to all residents about the changes to the waste and recycling collection schedule.
On Monday, August 28, there will be no waste and recycling collections. Collections during that week will take place one day later than usual starting on Tuesday, August 29, through to Saturday, September 2, and returning to normal on Monday, September 4.
Lead member for Bins and Recycling, councillor David Knight, said: "Waste and recycling collections are always a day late following a bank holiday. I would like to thank residents in advance for their understanding and cooperation during this time and would like to reassure them that if they are in any doubt about when their collections will take place, to visit North Devon Council's website."
Residents are being reminded to display their bins and bags by 6am on the morning or evening before their collection.
Full information about which items go in the bin, box or bag can be found online.
