Our feature club this week is Victoria Park, where visitors to the park often pop in to watch the matches and admire the rose beds, which are maintained by one of our long-standing club members Wilf Beer.

The club was found in 1950 and the club house used to be home to both Victoria Park Men's and Bideford Ladies Bowling Clubs. In 2005, the clubs merged to become Victoria Park Bowling Club. The club continues to grow from strength to strength and presently has over 100 playing members and an ever- increasing social membership.

Victoria Park had a great win over local rivals Bideford in the Triples Quator Cup. The final score was 125 – 75, with the team of Dave Woolf, Terry Allcock and Mick Allin achieving a perfect nine in one end.
