Toni Lee gives an impressive rendition of Karen Carpenter’s stunning vocals in new production Yesterday Once More – The Carpenters Songbook.

Revisit the timeless magic and stunning vocals of The Carpenters at the Queen’s Theatre in Barnstaple this April with an authentic and highly-regarded live homage to the legendary duo.

Karen and Richard Carpenter touched the world with their beautiful music and became the best-selling artists of the 1970s with more than 100 million records sold since.

Yesterday Once More – The Carpenters Songbook is coming to the Queen’s on Friday, April 10, led by Toni Lee and her full live band.

For more than two decades, Toni has been delivering what is described as ‘an incredibly authentic homage’ to Karen Carpenter in top venues throughout the UK and beyond.

Yesterday Once More is the most recent production featuring a full band steeped in Carpenters musical nuance and ready to bring an unforgettable night of heartfelt music.

The audience can expect all the hits including Superstar, Rainy Days and Mondays, (They Long to Be) Close to You and of course, Yesterday Once More.

Toni said: “I’ve always been around music; both my parents were in the business, so it was natural that I would get into it.

“I’d always loved The Carpenters since I was very, very little and I thought she had such an amazing voice. There are sometimes people in tears – not because they are upset but because the songs mean so much to them. It’s good tears.”
