Bideford bridge closure

MOTORISTS are being advised that Bideford Longbridge will be closed to traffic during the evenings next week. The closures, from 7pm to midnight, start on Monday, August 10 and will continue until Friday, August 14 to allow for the bridge resurfacing work

MOTORISTS are being advised that Bideford Longbridge will be closed to traffic during the evenings next week.

The closures, from 7pm to midnight, start on Monday, August 10 and will continue until Friday, August 14 to allow for the bridge resurfacing works to be completed.

The work, part of the ongoing repair and refurbishment of the Grade One Listed bridge, is being carried out during the evenings to minimise disruption.

During the closures, a signed diversion route will direct motorists from the Royal Hotel Roundabout to the Quay Roundabout via A386, A39, Torridge Bridge and B3235, and vice versa.

Pedestrian access across the bridge will be maintained at all times.
