New cake shop opens in the heart of Exeter this Saturday - and they're giving away free cakes
A new cake shop is set to open in the heart of Exeter this Saturday (28th March).
Cake Box will open in Unit 4 of the Guildhall Shopping Centre, with opening day celebrations featuring free treats, samples, and family-friendly fun to mark the launch.
The first 100 customers will receive free cake slices, and there will be 100 free cupcakes available for children. Visitors can also enjoy product samples and face painting.
The new store will offer Exeter shoppers a wide range of freshly made cakes and sweet treats, perfect for birthdays and special occasions. Interestingly, all their cakes are egg-free, making them suitable for a variety of dietary needs. For last-minute celebrations, customers can get personalised cakes ready in as little as one hour.
Opening day celebrations start at 11am, with giveaways available on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.

Sukh Chamdal, founder and CEO of Cake Box, said: “We’re really pleased to be opening our new store in Exeter and becoming part of the city’s busy shopping community. We look forward to welcoming customers into the store and helping people celebrate all of life’s special moments, big or small. Opening day is a great opportunity for us to meet the local community, so we’re excited to celebrate with free treats and activities for families and shoppers.”
Cake Box is the UK retailer of handmade cakes, with more than 250 stores nationwide.
