9:36am - The A386 between Horrabridge and Grenofen has been closed following a road traffic collision near Magpie Bridge this morning (Tuesday, 17 March), according to Devon Alert.

A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson told The Moorlander: “Emergency services are currently on the A386 at Horrabridge following a two-vehicle collision which was reported shortly after 7am.

“Two people have been taken to hospital, the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

“The road remains blocked while the incident is ongoing.”

Motorists have been urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes, with significant delays reported on surrounding roads.

Some travellers on local Facebook groups have reported lengthy diversions affecting journeys between Tavistock and Plymouth.

Bus services operated by Stagecoach South West will also be affected by the closure.

Services travelling between Tavistock and Plymouth will experience delays and may be diverted or suspended while the road remains shut.

Passengers are advised to check the latest updates on the Stagecoach app and Police log 77 before travelling and allow extra time for their journeys.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for journeys and to follow signed diversion routes where possible.
