Nikki Fairclough has launched Common Good
A new online platform designed to help businesses support local charities and community groups has been launched by Exeter entrepreneurs Nikki Fairclough and Sophie Weeks.
Called CommonGood, the platform connects organisations with volunteering opportunities that match the skills and interests of their staff, helping businesses make a more meaningful impact in their communities.
The idea comes at a time when advances in artificial intelligence are expected to reshape the workplace, with the founders arguing that volunteering and community engagement will become even more important ways for people to connect.
The platform allows charities and community organisations to post requests for help, while businesses can find opportunities where their professional skills — from legal advice to technical expertise — could make the biggest difference.
You can read more about Nikki’s project in the latest edition of Exeter Tomorrow magazine, out at the end of March.
