An interactive comedy thriller is coming to Brentor next month as part of a national tour.

Eyes Down will be staged at Brentor Village Hall on Friday 6 March at 7.30pm.

The show combines live bingo with a murder mystery storyline. During the performance, audience members play real games of bingo while a whodunnit plot unfolds around them.

As numbers are called and “houses” are won, tension builds and a body is discovered.

The story then explores what happened, who may be responsible, and how the events are linked to the evening’s bingo caller.

Manchester-based Just Some Theatre are presenting the production.

The company has previously toured with its show The Plot Thickens and is now bringing this new production to venues across the country.

Jake Urry from Just Some Theatre said: “We are extremely grateful to have this opportunity to tour our new show up and down the country.

“We’re thrilled to be working with acclaimed talents David Payne and Nick Bagnal to bring this exciting interactive show to audiences in areas we’ve never toured to before.”

The Brentor performance has been arranged with support from Villages in Action as part of its Create Tour Connect project.

The initiative aims to bring professional theatre and other arts events to rural communities.

A spokesperson for Villages in Action said the project helps give local people “the opportunity to see the types of shows they may not usually be able to access because of their rural locations.”

Villages in Action is a registered charity that brings theatre, music, dance and other art forms to village halls and community spaces across Devon.

It receives funding from Arts Council England and East Devon District Council.

Tickets are available via the Villages in Action website, with organisers advising early booking.
