Electric Bay Festival will not be taking place at Torre Abbey this year, organisers have confirmed.

The popular Torquay event has been paused for 2026 after organisers were unable to secure the headline acts needed to deliver the festival at the standard audiences have come to expect.

In a statement, the Electric Bay team said that despite best efforts, the right headliners could not be confirmed in time, prompting the decision to take a year out rather than stage a scaled-back event.

Instead, organisers say the focus will now shift to planning a larger return in summer 2027, which will mark the festival’s fifth anniversary.

Electric Bay has previously drawn large crowds to Torre Abbey with its mix of electronic music and coastal setting, becoming a standout date in Torquay’s summer events calendar.

Organisers said the break would allow time to “plan something special” for 2027, with further details to be announced closer to the time.

No alternative venue or smaller event has been announced for 2026.
