Winner Street will come alive with festive cheer on Saturday 13 December as the community gathers for its annual Christmas Ramble.

Running from 4pm to 7pm, the event will showcase the street’s growing collection of independent shops and local traders, all joining forces to celebrate the season.

Visitors can pick up maps from any participating shop and follow a festive trail, collecting stamps along the way. Anyone who completes the trail will be entered into a prize draw to win a luxury hamper worth over £100.

Hannah Trinder from The Sunrise Shack said: “The Christmas Ramble is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the festive season. We’re thrilled to showcase the wonderful shops and talented makers on Winner Street. It's not just about shopping; it's about creating memories and sharing joy.”

A full afternoon of activities is planned, including:

  • Tombola with prizes

  • Candyfloss and hot dogs

  • Santa’s postbox for children

  • Tug-of-war at 6:45pm

  • Carol singing throughout the evening

  • A Gingerbread Trail for children, with maps from Gaia Coffee

A Santa Ride-Out will also take place, with festive cyclists and motorbikers meeting on New Street at 6pm before setting off at 6:30pm, led by Glen from BHPS Sash Windows.

Families will also be able to meet Patrick the Pony, who will be on Winner Street from 4pm to 6pm for photos and festive selfies.

Shops along Winner Street will be offering festive treats, discounts and pop-up stalls throughout the event.
