Christmas is about to arrive in Torquay.
Santa’s Grotto Returns to Torquay's Fleet Walk after a festive parade at the weekend and the town's official festive lights are being switched on.
A 'Festive World of Toys Awaits' at the Fleet Walk grotto which will transport families into a world where cowboys, space rangers, dinosaurs, and teddy bears come together to celebrate the holiday spirit.

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Torbay Sunrise, this much-loved tradition will be raising money for Rotary charities, including Children’s Hospice South West.
Each year, an army of dedicated volunteers roll up their sleeves to wrap presents, prepare the experience and staff the grotto — helping bring Christmas joy to hundreds of children.
This year’s Gold Sponsor is Ant Insurance Services. Director Vickie Brocklehurst said: "We are delighted to support this great event, which is attended by over 500 families who return year after year. As well as financial support, we also encourage some of our staff to get involved, both in the Grotto as well as providing other services. It’s our way of giving back to the community.” Other local sponsors have also lent their support."
The Grotto opens on Saturday November 22, with a festive parade starting at 9.15am from the Town Hall and arriving at the Grotto at 10am
The official opening ceremony will take place at 2pm, led by Torbay MP Steve Darling and guide dog Jennie.
Santa’s Grotto will be open every Saturday and Sunday from November 22 to December 18 and daily from December 18 to Christmas Eve.
Ticket are £10 for 1 child (under 12); £20 for up to three children; £25 for up to four children. A booking fee applies. Each ticket includes a quality present and a mounted 7x5” colour photograph.
Tickets are now live and available exclusively through Eventbrite on a first-come, first-served basis.
