The blaze started in the corner of the ground between St James Road and Well Street, damaging a temporary building housing the stadium’s control room, the club confirmed.
Emergency services were called shortly after 10pm, with more than five fire crews attending the scene. Firefighters brought the flames under control within two hours.
In a statement, Exeter City FC said: “We will be assessing the damage today and will update when we have more information. Thank you to the members of the public who reported the incident and for the fast response of the fire crews who brought the fire under control, preventing further damage.”
No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
The club said it will release further updates once a full assessment has been carried out.
