Dartmoor has welcomed a new resident today as racing star Frodon will settle into his well-deserved retirement home with jockey Bryony Frost and her family.

The Bay Gelding, aged 11, has bid farewell to the Paul Nicholls team at Ditcheat in Somerset, and was seen peering over his stable door for the last time before embarking on his new chapter.

Retired in December 2023, Frodon has left behind a remarkable racing career. The seasoned gelding, foaled on March 11, 2012, has boasted an impressive track record, securing top-level victories in prestigious events such as the Ryanair Chase in 2019 at Cheltenham, the King George Chase in 2020 at Kempton, and the Champion Chase in 2021 at Down Royal.

In his 52 starts, Frodon displayed consistent excellence, finishing in the top three in 33 races, including a total of 19 victories. His achievements on the track have not only earned him accolades but also over £1 million in prize money.

Frodon's retirement is not just about the end of his racing career, but the beginning of a new life on scenic Dartmoor. Moving in with regular rider and professional jockey Bryony Frost and her family, Frodon is set to enjoy a peaceful retirement within Dartmoor's picturesque landscapes.

The bond between Frodon and Bryony Frost goes beyond the racetrack, with the duo forming a remarkable partnership throughout their racing journey.
