Trophy time at Bideford Amateur Athletic Club for awards ceremony

Athletes from North Devon enjoy a celebration of a year on the roads and tracks

After another fine year of running on roads, tracks and fields, members of the Bideford Amateur Athletic Club swapped the spikes for shiny shoes in a lavish award ceremony.

The evening celebrated some of the finest performers at the club, as well as the dedicated volunteers, and a fantastic night for all involved, as these pictures demonstrate.

Back in the vests, congratulations to club dip John O’Donoghue and Simon Mugglestone, who both qualified for the England squad with superb times in the Keith Hall 10k event.

From the junior side of the club, Ella Tout and Carys Woodhead travelled to Liverpool to compete in the English Schools Cross Country Championships. Ella finished as the fifth Devon athlete in her age group, while Carys was the third runner from Devon in her race.
