Pictures: Busy Bideford’s Got Talent 2024 wows the judges

Bideford’s version of BGT has been hailed a great night s contestants competed for the top spot

Singer Joe Hutchings took the laurels at a busy Bideford’s Got Talent 2024 on Friday (July 19).

While Joe took top spot, organisers hailed an ‘amazing array’ of talent who plucked up the courage to perform before a good-sized audience at the town Pannier Market.

Frances Andrews took first place in the under 13s category, singing and accompanying herself on guitar, while Aurora Coyle was second with her keyboard performance.

For the over 13s, Frankie Wright followed Joe into second place, with Ellie Coven and Lucy Bowser getting third spot and Steph Jury rated as Most Promising by the judges.

Prizes were awarded to the contestants by the Mayor of Bideford Rachel Clarke and Jude Gubb, chair of the council’s tourism committee.

Cllr Gubb said: “It was a great night, Bideford's Got Talent has proved to be a great event for the town council. Everyone works so hard to bring a lovely family event together.

“It also showcases the Pannier Market Hall as a versatile and great venue - we look forward to another Bideford's Got Talent in 2025.”

Organisers would like to thank Paul Bevan for providing the sound, the panel of judges and to the event sponsors Braddicks Leisure, Country Cottage Bakery and Cobblers and Keys, plus Dave Allan, Pannier Galley Cafe and Red Elephant Security.
