New Captains at Saunton Golf Club

There is a new leadership team for the new season at Saunton Golf Club. 

Firstly, introducing Men's Captain - Peter Bond: “I joined Saunton in 2014 with my wife Elaine, having previously been Members at Willingcott Valley. I was born in North Devon and have lived here for the majority of my life. I am an active Member of the Saunton Veterans Association, serving as Secretary and running the Vets team v Exeter.

“My chosen charity is Cardiac Risk in the Young, as they were outstanding when my children needed to have in-depth tests after the loss of my eldest son.”

Ladies Captain - Julie Gavin: I have been a Member of Saunton since 2011. In my time at the Club, I have been a Member of the Ladies Committee and have served as Captain of the Devon League and Sheelagh Creasy teams. As a Member of the Board, I serve on the Captains Committee and the Finance Committee.

“My charity this year is Street Games - a national organisation that works in local communities to provide access to sport for young people in low income, under-served areas.”

Junior Captain - Stanley White: “I’ve been a proud member of Saunton for almost seven years now and have loved every moment of it. The support from other Members and Professionals has been priceless in achieving my dream of travelling to the US on a golf scholarship next August. I am honoured and excited to Captain next year's Junior Section and I'm looking forward to what the year may hold.” 

Saunton GC has also presented trophies to the Autumn competition winners, with the awards handed out by outgoing Captains Rob Tickell and Nicky Sandom.
