Woman found collapsed in pub toilet dies in hospital

POLICE say they are not treating as suspicious the death in hospital of a 28-year-old woman who was found collapsed in a Bideford pub toilet.

They were called to Crabby Dicks at 2.40 yesterday (Sunday) morning after the woman was discovered. She was taken by ambulance to North Devon District Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Police are carrying out an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death and will be liaising with the coroner.

The immediate next of kin of the woman have been informed of her death, but it is unlikely she will be named until later today.
