Devon’s comical twosome back on the old stomping grounds for laughter and music in Ilfracombe.
DOUBLE up with laughter at The Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe on Saturday, January 28 as comedians Charlie Baker and Josh Widdicombe return to their Devon roots.
Charismatic and hyperactive funny man Charlie Baker, is a stand-up comedian and compere as well as a highly acclaimed jazz singer and musician.
Meanwhile, the talented Josh offers a hilarious insight into the daily foibles of one of comedy’s fastest rising stars with observations and dilemmas we can all relate to.
What’s more, the Gazette has two pairs of show tickets to give away – see below for details.
Both performers draw inspiration, humour and quirky remarks from their Devon upbringing, not to mention a natural rivalry, since Josh is a big Plymouth Argyll fan and Charlie a loyal Torquay United supporter!
After just a handful of gigs, Josh made it to the final of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny final at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2008 and this year was nominated as Best Newcomer by the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
Charlie came to the nation’s attention when he and Emmerdale actor James Thornton won BBC’s Let’s Dance for Comic Relief with their top hat and tails routine.
