Plenty of laughs despite last minute change to comedy show
QUIRKY impressionist James Dowdeswell has stepped in at the eleventh hour to save the Stand-Up at the Landmark show on Saturday in Ilfracombe.
Tickets for the quadruple header of comedians are now on offer at half price, 6.25, but comedy fans will still enjoy a good laugh – and on the cheap too!
James is an imaginative storytelling comedian who delivers gags from a slightly absurd observational standpoint. He is a headline act at most top UK comedy clubs and has plenty of funny material under his belt.
Television appearances include Ricky Gervais’ Extras, The World Stands Up plus Edinburgh And Beyond on the Paramount Comedy Channel. He replaces Sol Bernstein, who will not be appearing.
He is joined by the quick fire gag strewn performance of the fast-paced Mark Rough, who is a bit of a hit “oop north and seeking to add the south to his conquests.
Also appearing is “new wave storyteller John Robins, who skilfully weaves narrative, improvisation and punchy gags into his unique, self-effacing style. John has quickly made his name as one of the most quick-witted, engaging comedians on the UK circuit.
Last but not least is Sally-Anne Hayward, who has been described as a charming and popular performer with a winning brand of autobiographical humour.
She always manages to endear herself to any audience by taking them on a journey through her slightly eccentric world, including insights into the female psyche and her compulsion to send off spoof job applications.
The show starts at 8.15pm and tickets or information is available from the box office on (01271) 324242.
