THREE members of North Devon judo clubs took medals at the Welsh Nationals Judo Championships held in Hereford.
Molly Turner from Braunton Judo Club, fighting at national level for the first time, took the silver medal in the over 60kg weight group.
Mark Wild, 9, from Riverside Judo Club of Barnstaple and Umberleigh, had
won gold at the Nationals in May and was keen to return to junior national level competition. He fought well and lost only one fight, which placed him in the bronze medal position.
Riverside clubmate Amy Manning, 10, also took a bronze medal in her first national competition, despite having gone up a weight category and being one of the lightest in her group.
