Webbers team ready for Nightwalk 2021 at RHS Rosemoor

Women from across North Devon will gather at RHS Rosemoor next month, and they will feel they are walking taller than the trees as they step out in aid of local hospice care.Â

Nightwalk returns in September and the popular ladies moonlit walk will once again raise funds for the care and support provided by North Devon Hospice.Â

One team of walkers that is raring to go are from Webbers estate agents, who are also the headline sponsors of the event this year.Â

“We will feel immensely proud stepping out at Nightwalk this year,” said Karlie Baker-Kidwell, who is Marketing Manager at Webbers’ Barnstaple branch.Â

“We really will walk tall, because we know that we’re doing it for a fantastic cause. North Devon Hospice has been even more vital to our community in these extraordinary times over the last year. Â

“They have cared for people who are facing a life-limiting illness at the hardest possible time, so we are proud to be taking part in Nightwalk to show our support.”Â

For the first time since the inaugural Nightwalk in 2007, North Devon’s single biggest charity event took an enforced break last year due to Covid restrictions. However, it’s back with a bang in 2021, complete with a brand-new venue.Â

“It is such a pleasure to bring Nightwalk to RHS Rosemoor. It is a stunning location and will give everyone a fantastic experience on the night,” said Claire Paine from North Devon Hospice.Â

“We are asking ladies to walk taller than the trees for local care, and they will certainly be able to walk tall and hold their heads high because every pound raised from Nightwalk will support local people when they need it most. This really will be a night to remember.”Â

Claire added that sponsorship from the likes of Webbers is essential to help make the event possible.Â

“We can’t do Nightwalk without generous companies helping to make it a reality. Webbers have a long history of supporting North Devon Hospice, going back over 30 years, so it is fantastic to be able to count on them in these difficult times.”Â

Karlie from Webbers added: “We know it has been a particularly tough time for the hospice in the last 18 months. The demand for their care has gone up, and they’ve had to work around a whole host of obstacles to provide this care, but at the same time all fundraising activity has had to stop. Â

“That is why we cannot wait to take part in Nightwalk, to walk in solidarity with the hospice and all the people they are supporting right now. It is going to be a fantastic night and the whole team of ladies are really looking forward to it.”Â

Nightwalk takes place on 11th September. The event is sold out, but should any more tickets become available, they will be advertised at https://www.northdevonhospice.org.uk/support-us/events/nightwalk/
