More road closures announced for North Devon Link Road

The new closures will start in June

More road closures have been announced for the North Devon Link Road (NDLR) - A361, from Portmore to Borners Bridge, as the project nears completion.

Contractor Griffiths has issued an apology for any inconvenience caused by these additional closures, which they have said are necessary to maximise the work required to complete the project.

Closure Schedule for Various Sections:

North Devon Link Road (Borners Bridge to North Molton Spur Road)

  • Monday, June 10, 10pm to Tuesday, June 11, 6am
  • Tuesday, June 11, 10pm to Wednesday, June 12, 6am
  • Wednesday, June 12, 10pm to Thursday, June 13, 6am
  • Thursday, June 13, 10pm to Friday, June 14, 6am

Station Road, South Molton

  • Friday, June 14, 10pm to Monday, June 17, 5am (24-hour closure)

North Devon Link Road (North Aller Roundabout to Landkey Roundabout)

  • Monday, June 17, 8pm to Tuesday, June 18, 6am
  • Tuesday, June 18, 8pm to Wednesday, June 19, 6am
  • Wednesday, June 19, 8pm to Thursday, June 20, 6am
  • Thursday, June 20, 8pm to Friday, June 21, 6am
  • Friday, June 21, 8pm to Saturday, June 22, 6am
  • Saturday, June 22, 8pm to Sunday, June 23, 6am
  • Sunday, June 23, 8pm to Monday, June 24, 6am

Bishmill to North Aller

  • Monday, June 24, 10pm to Tuesday, June 25, 6am
  • Tuesday, June 25, 10pm to Wednesday, June 26, 6am

The company has said these closures are essential to completing various works, including the installation of the final surface course and signage. 

Griffiths has said that every effort is being made to minimise disruption.

Road diversions will be issued where necessary.
