EMERGENCY services were called to the North Molton turn off on the A361 last night (Wednesday) after a collision between two cars.

Originally people were reported trapped. On arrival at the 9.30pm incident fire crews from South Molton and Barnstaple discovered one of the vehicles off the highway and smoking, but the occupants of both cars were uninjured.

Police said a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a red Honda Civic were involved in the collision.
