Torrie on wrong road

TORRINGTON literally had problems on the road to Withycombe, where they lost 36-13.

Three Torrie players - Luke Bayment, Eric Payne and Steve Herron - mistakenly went to Withecombe in Minehead by mistake and weren’t in Exmouth at kick-off time.

Torrie wheeled out coaches Jim Kendrew and Chris Beer to make up the numbers - combined age 84 - and found themselves 23-0 down at half time.

The second half was even once the lost players turned up. Dan Heal scored a try, which Craig Hooper converted on top of three penalties, but the deficit was too wide to wipe out.
