Tony wins The Soldier’s Medal

FORMER North Devon Army Cadet instructor Tony Moorey has made a notable start to his life as a member of the Royal Engineers.

Tony, 30, was voted by members of his Army training group to receive The Soldier’s Medal -a prize designated for someone who has demonstrated the Army core values of courage, discipline, respect for others, selfless commitment, integrity and loyalty.

He undertook basic training at ATR Bassingbourn before his passing out.

Tony previously served with C. (North) Company Devon ACF for 17 years, 11 of them as an instructor. He held the Queen’s Commission and was Detachment Commander at Torrington for four years.
