ARTISTS across North Devon and Torridge will be throwing open the doors of their workshops and studios this week as the popular Art Trek returns for the North Devon Festival.From Merton to Lynton, this free event runs from tomorrow (Thursday) until Sunday, offering a unique chance to meet painters and sculptors, weavers, jewellers and more at their easels - or anvils! There's something for all the family at the free Goodleigh Fun Day on Saturday from 2-4pm in the Village Hall.Comedian and the fresh face of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Simon Amstell, will be on stage at the Queen's Theatre, Barnstaple, on Saturday.And the Winkleigh Singers will be touring this week, at St Petroc's Church in Petrockstowe on Friday, St Peter's Bratton Fleming on Saturday and St Mary Magdalene in Chulmleigh on Sunday, all 7.30pm, with a matinee at St Mary's in High Bickington on Sunday at 3.Ticket info on (01271) 324242 or at www.northdevonfestival.org.uk
