Song, dance and a touch of the West End comes to the Landmark next month.

LOCAL young singers, dancers and musicians will be given a chance to shine alongside one of the stars of the current series of hit BBC One singing show The Voice.

West End performer Liam Tamne will be headlining this year's Young Stars of the Future concert being held at the Landmark Theatre on July 20.

Liam was the bookies' favourite to win this year's show but was rejected by coach will.i.am in one of the battle rounds.

He trained at Laine Theatre Arts and has a string of appearances in top shows such as Les Miserables and Hair to his name.

He will be joined in Ilfracombe by local performers from dance academy Panache, and Bella Voce.

Also on the bill are drama students from West Buckland School.

The show is being produced by Nigel Brooks, who was born in Barnstaple and grew up in Ilfracombe before going on to enjoy a long and distinguished career as a composer, singer and former conductor of the BBC Concert Orchestra.

The show, which starts at 7pm, will raise money for the Banstaple Link Rotary club to help the youth of the area.
