Join Eddie & The Hot Rods at the Palladium Club in Bideford on Saturday October 12.

SUCCESSFUL seventies pub rock band Eddie and the Hot Rods are ready to recruit a legion of new fans at The Palladium Club in Bideford on Saturday (October 12).

Still going strong after four decades, the band line up may have changed a bit over the years, but singer Barrie Masters is still at the helm of a ship that helped launch the British punk scene.

Best known for the classic top 10 single Do Anything You Wanna Do, the band enjoyed three other top 40 singles, but have never relied on a classic back catalogue to keep gigging.

The old favourites are still there, of course, but the Hot Rods have also released two albums of new material, Better Late Than Never and Been There Done That... and plan to go into the studio later this to produce another.

"You've got to keep moving forward, and the band are excited about putting out some new tracks," said Barrie.

Hot Rods live shows prove to be the real crowd pleaser, with shows at venues across Europe, Japan and America.

"I'm probably enjoying it more than ever," added Barrie.

"I don't get as nervous as I used to and I also get a lot more back from the audience."
