Join Gordon Giltrap at The Factory on July 27.

ACCLAIMED guitarist Gordon Giltrap will be playing a one-off gig in Barnstaple on Saturday, July 27, with all proceeds going to North Devon Hospice.

Join him and his trademark wild mane at The Factory on Petroc’s Brannams campus, Roundswell, from 7pm.

Gordon is a musician of nearly 50 years experience, having released his first album in 1968, and came to prominence particularly in the London folk scene of the late 60s and 70s.

While he has predominantly become known as a folk artist, his output has covered blues, pop, classic and rock, across a broad repertoire.

Accolades come from the likes of Brian May, lead guitarist with Queen, who said: “Gordon is one of an elite few who truly become legendary in their field in their own lifetime. I am proud to call him my friend.”

While Ritchie Blackmore, lead guitarist with Deep Purple, adds: “Anyone who asks me knows that I think Gordon Giltrap is one of the best acoustic guitar players in the world.”

Advance discount tickets are available from Emma at North Devon Hospice on 01271 347216.
