BY popular demand The Rude Mechanical Theatre Company makes a welcome return to The Vicarage Garden in Torrington with its unique brand of comedy on Friday, July 12.

Expect an evening of pure outdoor entertainment with this brand new tale, Harlequin Goes to the Moon, which contains all of the usual ingredients that make the company's shows so special. Affectionately known as 'The Rudes', the group relies on excellent scripting, wonderful storytelling, harmonious singing and live music from its skilled and talented troupe of performers, sporting their signature white faces and dressed in beautiful costumes designed for the show.

Never shirking from provocatively addressing serious themes or commenting on current affairs, The Rudes will make you think, raise an eyebrow or two and according to one reviewer make you 'laugh the hardest you've ever laughed in your life'.

Harlequin Goes to the Moon is a twisty turning tale of romance, love, whimsy, lust and greed. The show starts at 7pm and gates open from 6 for picnicking opportunities! Tickets are available from The Plough Arts Centre on 01805 624624.
