The auditions for Barnum are over and the show comes to town this July

North Devon All Starz has proudly announced the 2016 cast for its production of Barnum.

This exhilarating musical follows the irrepressible imagination and dreams of PT Barnum, America’s greatest showman, who lit up the world with colour, warmth and the excitement of his imagination.

The show celebrates the All Starz 10th year and is at the Queen’s Theatre from Thursday to Saturday, July 28-30.

Following six hours of auditions, taking the title role of Phineas Taylor Barnum will be 17-year-old Jack Danson (pictured centre) from Ilfracombe.

Director Tolley Angell said: “It’s fantastic to see members of North Devon All Starz grow in talent and confidence.

“Jack has always been keen to impress the production team and it’s been great to see him
grow from minor roles to taking possibly the largest and most challenging male role in musical theatre.”

Taking the role of his wife, Chairy Barnum, will be Sarah Doe, 18, (right) from Ilfracombe, who impressed the production team with her singing and acting skills.

Dan Gray, 14, (left) from Saunton will be taking the role of the ringmaster, who narrates the show and keeps it moving at a fast pace.

Tickets are available from the Box Office on 01271 324242 or at www.northdevontheatres.org.uk.
