Birdman’s Got talent invites North Devon’s talent to audition for the chance to perform in front of thousands.

THE hunt is on for talented types to take their place on the big stage alongside amateur aviators at this year’s Birdman’s Got Talent contest.

The grand final of the competition, now in its second year, will be held at Ilfracombe Pier on Sunday, July 29 as part of the South West Birdman spectacular organised by Ilfracombe Round Table.

But to wing their way there, contestants must first prove they have the right stuff at auditions hosted by Buddy’s Live Lounge in the High Street on Sunday, July 15.

All the usual talents are welcome, but competitors are also invited to think outside the box – or indeed climb inside the box and then escape from it…

“We’re looking for anyone at all who would like to showcase their talents and perform before thousands of people,” said Round table Greg Schofield.

“You might be a singer, a dancer, comedian, musician or even have a super talented dog! Last year’s winner Miranda Goldring was an expert fitness pole dancer and wowed the audience and judges with what she could do.

“It is great fun and wonderful exposure for any performer.”

Entry to the competition is free, so if you can sing, dance, juggle blancmange or own a pack of performing ferrets, contact Greg on 01271 865837 (evenings) or email southwestbirdman@hotmail.co.uk for an entry form.
