The line up will be headed by panto dame Anthony Stuart Hicks.
SLEEPING Beauty has been announced as this year’s North Devon Theatres Pantomime at the Queen’s Theatre.
Heading the line-up is Anthony Stuart Hicks who returns as pantomime dame Nurse, last seen in Barnstaple in Aladdin in 2010 - a spiky and funny dame, who with one-liners galore is joined by Muddles (Paul Lawrence-Thomas) to carry the comedy.
Last year’s hero, Aston Dobson, who played Robin Hood, will be returning this year as the prince to sweep the princess, who is yet to be cast, off her feet.
Meadowsweet, Queen of the Fairies, will be played by Susan Penhaligon who has previously starred in Dr Who, Casualty and Emmerdale, and the Evil Queen will be played by Niki Evans of X Factor fame.
Brian Weston, who has worked in major theatre companies for more than 40 years, will play the ‘old duffer’ King, the princess’s father.
