Join Dorset indie band for an original gig as they return to The Palladium Club in Bideford on Friday, January 24.

A warm but powerful mix of folk, rock and psychedelia is the trademark sound of Dorset-based Saturday Sun as the band makes a welcome third visit to The Palladium Club in Bideford.

Having captivated audiences with two former support slots, this Friday (January 24) the band are headlining in their own right, with support from local singer songwriter Mersadies Day.

Saturday Sun’s music is at once delicate and demanding. It washes in subtly, but there are twists and turns, a building sense of urgency, a raw edge in each song.

A sense of power is weaved into the vocals - sometimes angelic in their falsetto, at times a gravelly near-roar of emotion.

Expect a sound that is as mesmerising and intricate plugged-in as it is stripped back and acoustic, with hints of Americana, folk, rock, blues, even grunge all melted into a sound that is the band’s own.

The band have just released their new album Orixé and have had more than 400,000 plays on Spotify.

The gig starts at 8pm and admission is £3 at the door.
