Touching tale about tiny world was beautifully brought to life at Landmark Theatre by young cast

The tale of an elephant that rescues a microscopic city on a spec of dust is a favourite bed time story in our house.

The Dr Seuss classic is a moving story about friendship and looking out for others – however small they may be.

So it was fitting that a young cast from North Devon Theatres’ Make the Move theatre group worked so well together to really bring some of the author’s best-loved characters to life.

The performance at Ilfracombe’s Landmark Theatre on Saturday afternoon – the second of two – was imaginative, lively and extremely polished with plenty of pizzazz.

Molly Gooch stole the show as Horton the Elephant and there were notable performances by Millie White as JoJo and Chloe Aston as Gertrude McFuzz.

The musical – or Seussical – was delightfully choreographed by Lee Baxendale and Carol Turner.
