Reef guitarist’s new band is coming to Torrington this May

Goldray are the new psychedelic rock band from Reef guitarist Kenwyn House and will be playing the first gig of their new tour at The Plough Arts Centre in Torrington on Saturday, May 6.

It follows on the heels of the band’s debut full-length album Rising, released the day before.

Described as ‘a blend of Zeppelin and Kate Bush’, the band have gathered a formidable reputation live with performances at the likes of Glastonbury and Bestival.

Kenwyn teamed up with vocalist Leah Rasmussen in 2010 and the two shared a songwriting vision blending psych and prog experimental arrangements resulting in a dynamic that took them towards psychedelic rock - House’s hooks complemented by Rasmussen’s powerful but smooth Kate Bush-esque vocals.

The Plough gig starts at 8pm. For tickets call 01805 624624.
