Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood will descend on Barnstaple next week for the annual Pilton Pantomime. The Pilton Theatre Productions show will be playing at Pilton Church Hall from Wednesday, February 14 until Saturday, February 17, with 7.30pm shows and a 2.30pm Saturday matinee. The cast of 23 range in ages from eight to 65 and have been busy rehearsing since September, supported by a dedicated team of 30 backstage crew. The show is directed by Lee Smith and audiences can expect plenty of song, dance and humour in the best panto style. Pilton Pantomime is 20 years old but there have been pantos in the village for more than 70 years. Lee said: We give the opportunity to young and old to work in a repertory style company. All the actors and the backstage team work to produce a pantomime of a semi-professional standard. We aim to give direct experience on the stage and backstage to all the people who want to be involved. Everyone is welcome. Tickets are available from The Reform Inn and from Carol on 01271 372416.
