Seven piece Americana group Los Pacaminos, led by none other than Paul Young, play The Plough Arts Centre in Torrington on Thursday, May 19. Expect a mix of lively Tex-Mex classics to dance the night away to. At least one member of this highly respected seven-piece Americana group will be very familiar. The London-based outfit is led by one of the UKs finest and best loved vocalists - Paul Young. Together, some of the best musicians in the business have teamed up to present this mix of Tex-Mex classics that will have you dancing the night away! As Paul himself says, the emphasis is good music and good times. We sing, we dance, we love. We drink tequila. Only the good stuff these days! The bands sound came about because of Pauls love of the music but also the sheer joy of playing it. He said I first heard Ry Cooders hybrid version of Tex-Mex, and I started to escape into a world of life down by the border, hot weather, good food we started back in 92 and it was too much fun to stop. I love the lift you get when playing it. Were all past wanting to play or listen to music that depresses. Tickets are available from the box office on 01805 624624.
