ROBINSON Crusoe not only takes the stage at Northam Methodist Church Hall on Friday - but will help to pay for a new one!This latest production by the Bright Stars Theatre Group will be the first not to raise money for charity, because the group has had to turn its attention to providing a new stage to meet health and safety rules.But the pantomime will contain all the music, fun and laughter associated with the popular amateur group.Once again founder members Maggie Smale and Mike Sale will play their parts. Maggie will be one of three generations of her family in the show and Mike is director.Methodist Minister Paul Martin will be swapping his cassock for a colourful dress in the role of dame while Della Bealey dons the tights to become principal boy Robinson Crusoe.Other principal roles are taken by Martin Reader (Man Friday), Maggie Smale (Capt Will Atkins), Ann-Marie Hallett (Polly Perkins), Laura Atkinson (Billy Crusoe) and Gemma Bealey (Jill Potts).The curtain goes up at 7pm on Friday and again at 3pm and 7pm on Saturday, with repeats at the same times on January 25 and 26.For bookings call (01237) 408226.
