The vocal harmony group was due to play at The Queens Theatre in July but has cancelled its summer tour after the death of Timmy Matley last month. A statement from the band said they wanted to take time out to process the loss of Timmy, and would return with new tour dates later this year. They said: This is absolutely not the end of The Overtones, we just want to make sure everything we do next is a celebration of love, friendship and good times that will both comfort and uplift you, not only as a tribute to our dear friend Timmy, but also as a tribute to the amazing eight years we spent together as a band and the memories we have made and shared with you all. A statement from The Queens Theatre said it would be in touch with everyone who had booked tickets, and sent warm wishes to the band. It said: Please bear with us as we have a high volume of customers to get through, Im sure youll all join us in sending warm wishes to the boys during this difficult time.
