Big sound soul band Soul Intention will be performing to raise money for the hospital charity’s Cancer and Wellbeing Centre Appeal on Saturday, February 24.

The 11-piece band is playing at the Barnstaple Ex-services and Social Club in St Georges Road, with doors open at 7pm until late.

Fundraising Manager Ian Roome said: “This band is fantastic and it really is a gig not to be missed.

“So come on down and dance the night away with us to some funky soul classics, from the 60s and 70s, Motown, rock anthems and much more.

“The centre appeal is doing very well because of the public’s enthusiasm to see it built. We want to ensure that anyone suffering from cancer is not alone, and this unit will be able to offer our patients counselling, a drop in facility, massage, art and music therapy, group sessions and so much more.”

Tickets are £5 and available from the Over and Above Fundraising Office on 01271 311772 or email ndht.charity@nhs.net, or you can get your tickets on the door.
