Appledore’s very own ska, reggae and dub festival returns this month, with an acclaimed line-up in place.

After a successful inaugural festival in 2017, SKAppledore returns to St Mary’s Hall on Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21.

Leading the line-up are Ipswich-based The Downsetters and Captain Accident and the Disasters from Cardiff.

The Downsetters have been gathering radio airtime in the US and Europe with their ska and reggae, with the six piece coming to Appledore off the back of a successful European tour.

Captain Accident and the Disasters will be bringing a blend of soulful lovers rock, roots reggae, ska, dub and rocksteady, with their energetic live set sure to get you dancing.

Joining them are local favourites Lionstar and Skata Tones, as well as The Liquidators AKA, The Ragamuffins, Dr Love Experience, Reggaskas and Jabbrock.

The bands will be supported by DJ Dr No and DJ Mau Mau.

SKAppledore runs from 6pm-12am on July 20, and 1pm-12am on July 21.

Weekend passes cost £20. Tickets for Friday evening are priced at £10, and tickets Saturday’s all-day line-up cost £15.
