After their triumphant debut last year, the North Devon Sinfonia returns to the Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe on Saturday, April 19.Conducted by Emma Kent, the symphony orchestra draws on local talent for its members all of whom come from a variety of professional backgrounds. They play with great skill and expertise and offer the chance to hear fantastic orchestral music live at an affordable price.The North Devon Sinfonia will be joined by soloist Alison Farr on piano. Born in 1980, Alison won the piano section of the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 1998, and graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2002 with a first class honours degree.As both a soloist and a chamber musician, Alison has performed extensively throughout the British Isles including appearances with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the Ulster Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
