Saxophonist Hannah Marcinowicz will perform at Bideford Music Club's February concert which is a change to the advertised programme,.As a soloist, she made her debut at the Wigmore Hall last November and is supported by the Tillett Trust. She also gave a recital at the Royal Festival Hall in 2007, at the Purcell Room last year and will give a second recital at the Wigmore Hall in April.A former Purcell School pupil, Hannah graduated with First Class Honours from the Royal Academy of Music where she studied both saxophone and clarinet and has received many awards which have enabled her to continue her studies in Paris. Last June she was awarded the prestigious Medaille d'Or from the Conservatoire for Saxophone Performance and Chamber Music.Her accompanist will be Daniel Swain who read music at Oxford before taking up a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music where he won several awards.Daniel performs regularly as a duo pianist and chamber musician throughout the UK and abroad. He has performed in London's Wigmore, Cadogan, Queen Elizabeth, Royal Festival and Steinway Halls, the Purcell Room, the churches of St-Martin-in-the-Fields and St. James, Piccadilly and has given recitals in Sweden, Norway, France and Italy. He has performed with many internationally acclaimed artists, is a 'Live Music Now! Fellowship Artist' and has won many awards and prizes for his work with singers and instrumentalists.Hannah and Daniel will perform works by Demersseman, Creston, Debussy, Swayne, Marcello, Bedard, Grieg, Dubois and De Rose.The concert will be held at Grenville College on Wednesday, 4th February at 7.30 pm, tickets are £10.00 (students free) and available at the door.
