YOUNG people with an enthusiasm for singing - or the desire to try it out, are invited to join the Junior Ploughcappella being launched in Torrington next week.Following on from the phenomenal success of the adult Ploughcappella singing group, now in its eighth year at the Plough Arts Centre, a version for youngsters is being created.Teacher Alison Whittall will begin the 10-week "term" on Tuesday of next week (February 24) for those aged 12-18 years, then running every Tuesday from 7-8pm.Each week more than 50 members meet for the adult Ploughcappella and it is hoped the junior variety will prove just as popular.Appearing all over the South West, the Ploughcappella sing stunning harmonies and funky rhythms with songs from around the world.No experience is necessary to join and Alison's uplifting enthusiasm and passion proves totally infectious to her students.Any young people keen to stretch their vocal cords, meet others of similar interests and have fun are invited to find out more by calling The Plough Box Office on (01805) 624624.
