ROCK 'n' roll's "greatest failure" will be heading back to the Palladium Club in Bideford on Wednesday of next week (June 9) in the form of John Otway.

This is his book tour (yes, really) and in I Did it Otway (Regrets, I've had a few,), expect an evening of hilarious and moving accounts of his insane assault on the music industry! Otway arrived on the back of punk rock and after a gymnastic performance on The Old Grey Whistle Test, his first single, the half-spoken love song Really Free soared to number 27 in the chart.

You're more likely to remember the more recent Bunsen Burner -- and lyrics devised to help his daughter with her homework - reached the UK number nine, and earned Otway an appearance on Top of the Pops.

Next week's event is free and doors open at 8pm.
